Tents should be stored in a clean dry condition. While the vinyl is designed with mildew inhibitors, improper care can cause mold and mildew to damage your fabric. Before storing your tent for the next event or the next season clean the vinyl with a mild soap such as ivory.
Our crews lay the vinyl out flat and hose off all the loose dirt, leaves, or party confetti and then scrub down both sides with soapy water. Use a soft bristled broom so as to not damage the surface of the fabric when scrubbing the dirt from the tent surface. Once the tent is clean, rinse thoroughly. Any soap residue left on the fabric can damage and shorten the life of the fabric.
Air dry and hand dry tent top making sure there aren't folded areas holding moisture before folding and storing. Fold tent fabric with top inside. This will help protect the outside appearance and also makes it easier when installing again.
Don'ts for your tent!!
Don't use strong cleaners and bleaching agents on vinyl. They can migrate into the fabric and cause early deterioration.
Power washers can remove the top layer of the vinyl laminate causing serious damage.
Don't drag of walk on vinyl over rough areas such as gravel or rough asphalt.
In hard water areas, hand dry clear windows to protect them from spot build-up.
